So sorry to hear, but you'll be strong. You're no wimp. Hamstress has an issue, she's 51 but has terrible pains each month. Finally doing summat about it and having a scan at lunchtime on Mothers Day ! (saved me a few quid as cancelled the meal out!). As OP notes, you're on it and not waiting for things to get worse. She'll be fine and around to keep you in order for many decades.
