Park car (as it now is), store stuff, workshop etc. First floor, insert windows to garden side in brick

wall you see above also make a door entry. Make garden and barn combi like something out the ideal home exibition at chelsea flower show where smiling people sip pims as they wait for the Queen mother to pass by the exibition stand with her lavender petulia oil.

At the east end of 1st floor, (right side of roof in front of barn shots) create a stairway to house upstairs landing via passage way from kitchen. Also stairs to ground floor.

12 ft slate snooker table an option as is 267 inch home cinema set up, just not by me.

Depending on budget it can go as far as you want to take it. THE only 'problem, the height of the two cross beams. But you could do something like lowering floor via double dog leg staircase that rises and splits under one of the beams, forks left/right and you come up into either centre of west end third. Another option, raise floor 18 inches. and step ove and down.

add 2x velux to north (garden side) roof.

I will get rest of house sort of 'done' insofar as 'this is what I've come up with, you can finish to your taste (fit whatever kitchen u like here in this space I've created by knocking down walls and moving bathroom upstairs and reinforcing floor and sorting plumbing and electrics, 'here', just keep a WC downstairs, ... if not a financial decision I'd make upstairs front one big bedroom ... I think that would be pretty good. YOu could have a study/second. Pus a decent sized family bathroom up there.

And also back bedroom overloking garden, above kitchen. + new third 'bedroom/study/mezzanine in new top top floor of barn (see pic showing bowed beam in post above, above and against back wall behing the bowed beam. ., a bedroom on same level as existing first floor, about 7foot off existing floor, call it 7foot 6 for cash to give more headroom on existing loft 1st floor.

Big plan as far as what I was going to do prior to getting the barn, add a window to west facing wall that sits to leave of barn ridge line. THIs will illumintate first floor, allow study area to be created, if going down one larger bedroom incorperting both first floor front windows. WIthout that window landing a black hole if two bedroom doors shut.

THese plans are subject to revision, change and scrappage. THey may not be copied, reprinted, distributed or laughed at. Please eat after reading.
