More economic Fuckwittery The government is discussing plans for supermarkets to introduce a cap on the price of basic food items to help tackle the rising cost of living. A voluntary agreement with major retailers could see price reductions on basic food items like bread and milk. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-65736944 All that will happen is the capped price will become the only price. Everyone will set their price at the cap and there won't be any competition (on price) Then, if it becomes uneconomic to stock the capped items, there just won't be any. Fucking ludicrous.
