It’s that glow ball warming again….
Latest snow reports: A ‘very white’ Christmas in the Alps, with snow across European ski resorts Resorts are braced for ‘transformative’ snowfall following a week of warm weather
It looks set to be a very white Christmas in the Alps, with heavy snowfall forecast for the next week in Europe’s ski resorts. A metre or more should accumulate above 2,000m by Christmas Day, and it will be cold too – double digits below freezing at times.
This is welcome news following a week of warm temperatures across much of western Europe. Reassuringly though, despite the rise in temperatures, snow depths haven’t dropped much, and in most cases are up on a week ago. Resorts have also been opening more terrain in the run-up to the peak Christmas/New Year weeks.
