Said it before, there's a lawless charm about the place. No obvious rules yet everything seems to work. Safe too - carry a knife in public and it is 10years jail (Khan could implement this overnight). Booze a little pricey but ubiquitous so they're clearly your non observant Muzza type. Whiskey and Gin seem popular. Gin ffs..! Coffee is mostly excellent and costs under a quid. Loads of crumpet - French, Spanish, French Canadian, Middle Eastern etc. Cheap property and low interest rates. Loads of banks. Jews moving back there for the boom. World centre of hash production in the Rif mountains. They used to call it drugs, now they call it medicine - even pro footballers promote cbd. Talking of football they are pretty good at it and it is street level %&!*@. Even I could get back into the game. Decent game shooting, no pheasants but loads of Partridge and Quail. Give it a generation and they'll be in the EU if it is still around. On the Downside there's the occasional language issue (though ive yet to meet the foreigner who doesn't understand loud and slow English) and the beer is sh1te - you'd have to be p1ssed to order a second. That Algeria film was good btw. Didn't know a lot of that history - interesting.
