When ah were lad at college it was common belief amongst the lefties ( 99% of Lecturers ) that the whole concept of the nation state was evil and that people should be able to go and live anywhere they liked. The world controlled by a vast socialist commissariat.( or anarchy for the more extreme ones ) I commented that this was bollox and that immense cultural, financial, language and life objective differences would make this impossible. I was looked upon as a retard.
