Probably have no effect on his application… Asylum-seeker guilty of raping 12-year-old girl Afghan, 23, also convicted of abduction and making indecent video of girl in Nuneaton An Afghan asylum-seeker has been found guilty of raping a 12-year-old girl. Ahmad Mulakhil, 23, spotted the child in a park before abducting her and carrying out the attack in a secluded cul-de-sac in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. The attack took place in July last year, four months after he crossed the Channel in an inflatable boat. Mulakhil was initially housed in Kent before being moved to Nuneaton six weeks before the rape. He was living unsupervised with other asylum seekers in a taxpayer-funded property in the town. Mulakhil was convicted of one count of rape following a 10-day trial at Warwick Crown Court. He was cleared of a second count of rape and had already admitted a charge of oral rape.
