The madcap 13 minutes which could cost Manchester City the title
Misjudged back-pass from Marc Guehi precipitated a remarkable collapse from which club may not recover

On an extraordinary night at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, did Manchester City just gift-wrap Arsenal the Premier League title?

Leading 1-0 courtesy of Jérémy Doku’s first-half strike, Pep Guardiola watched his City side collapse in the space of 13 dramatic minutes as Everton – fortunate not to have been reduced to 10 men when Michael Keane escaped a red card for cleaning out Doku – scored three times.

Goals from Erling Haaland and Doku, in stoppage time, secured a 3-3 draw for City, but it is now firmly advantage Arsenal. Telegraph Sport analyses a frenetic finale on Merseyside.

65 min
Everton, trailing 1-0 to Doku’s wonder strike late in the first half but fortunate not to be down to 10 men, bring on Thierno Barry for the tiring Beto. It is a straight swap up top by David Moyes and within a minute Everton get in behind after Iliman Ndiaye pounces on a mix-up by Marc Guéhi and Matheus Nunes. The Everton forward shoots straight at Gianluigi Donnarumma and City are spared, but the portents are there. It will not be City’s last lapse in concentration.
