I think I need to gen up on what goes well with what. Flowering laurels like the spud peel. Non flowering may prefer the coffee. they don't seem to be doing well at the mo out the front whereas the flowering laurel, sparingly the cacti (sparingly) and bamboo are blooming/doing well. ordinary non flowering laurel, the leaves a bit yellow, not a full bush etc. It's a 'plant' that likes to be in the ground as a hedge, not in a pot. I've tried coffee but will try again but only on the non flower laurel. Watch this space
