There was a tv show, greatest Briton a few years ago., churchil won. I think... after 62 years i know, the greates ever Britain was George Orwell. Fought for the reds them saw through it, ex British police in Malay, or Burma, died early, reused to go to AMerica, never knew wealth or acclaim, and most importantly wrote those books. I watched this a few years ago Christopher Hitchens on George Orwell https://youtu.be/iPytZsF2Kew?si=w9iZrG_i7OG6pmZ3 The respect I have and hold for George Orwell is in direct inverse correlation to the absolute contempt I hold for 99% of most grifting wasters in public life today. Fitting that such a great man is remembered by one who followed after who was also pretty damn brilliant.
