Yup, but blame the prosecutors
Hillary Clinton (then 27, Rodham) was court-appointed to defend 41-year-old Thomas Alfred Taylor, accused of raping 12-year-old Kathy Shelton (a distant relative) in May 1975 after she was pulled from her bike into his truck, beaten, and assaulted. Shelton was hospitalized she later said it caused a 5-day coma and destroyed her fertility (court docs confirm trauma but not those specifics).
Clinton filed an affidavit claiming the victim was "emotionally unstable" with tendencies to seek older men, fantasize, and make false accusations (motion denied). No trial Taylor pled to unlawful fondling of a minor under 14 and served ~10 months (1 year jail + 4 years probation).
The "laughed at her in court" part isn't in records—the 1980s audio has Clinton chuckling about the polygraph (which her client passed) and evidence issues, while saying she believed he was guilty but did her job as assigned. She had asked to be removed.
