Artistic licence old chap, goes with tales from the riverbank so much better. In our village, Fladbury, in the vale of Evesham, late 70s, they were called 'Concordians' usually young men who came to pick fruit n veg, from portgal, spain unt de south america ya possibly. I guess back then when pound so much stronger relative to pesato and er whatever it was in portugal, lira maybe, same as Italy? it was a good summer student job.
