Driving across the ridge this morning to get to the beach and the car suddenly made a terrible noise like the gone had blown…. Slowed down only to realise it wasn’t the car as an F-16 (or similar) buzzed me at very low height. Scared the 💩 out of me as the shadow crossed over. Reminded me that in the jet business you can add the word “Embellish” to your flight plan which means you agree that air forces in countries you pass can use you as a practice intercept target. Always goes down well with most of the passengers if you’re lucky enough to get intercepted. We didn’t try it with politicians or royalty as they wouldn’t assume it was real!
