Yes you are right There are eight possible outcomes if you spin a coin three times and if the coin is unbiased then they are all equally likely There is just one way of getting three heads - HHH There is just one way of getting three tails - TTT There are three ways of getting two heads and one tail - HHT, HTH and THH There are three ways of getting one head and two tails HTT, THT and TTH Those are all the possible outcomes So that's just the slightly ploddy way I worked out the answer to the question! PS very sorry indeed to hear about your tongue, really miserable thing to happen
