Oil willbe in demand for a while yet. Global oil demand is projected by the International Energy Agency (IEA) to peak around 2030 at roughly 101.7 to 102 million barrels per day before beginning a structural decline, though major producers like OPEC strongly contest this view. I think this estimate is politically motivated and is out by decades.
