Starkey interrupts once too often., but good discussion on woke ism. Essential grain of truth in most if
not all stereotypes., and no I've never seen a south korean basket ball player either.
I did a foundation Access course 4 modules, psychology sociology, communication, written/verbal in 1990-91. The idea was as a mature student to have 'access' to yr 1 of a humanities degree. I passed the course (had a large project to do as well, mine, living at a mental hospital (All-Saints, Handsworth) but after that I got the diploma the idea of doing 3 more years at uni with more of the same bolox just didn't appeal! and I switched to a TV production course., Then my dad died, then I got my private hire licence revoked due to being blind in one eye (I'd been cabbing for 3 yrs just fine, but out the blue Sandwell council pulled the licence. Too much white privilege they probably figured.)
Course I later came to regret not going on to complete the degree when I started teaching engish here as 'degree desired' to get into state teaching system. But really, it (social sciences) was a load of absolute bolox. ... as we see from the BBC interview with the Jewish settle (lawyer) it doesn't matter how thick you are, if you fit in and play the game that's all that's required. Equality of outcomes.. as they point out, when it comes down to nuke reactor designers and airline pilots ... yeah, let's just forget the diversity quotas.
Finished course in June, Dad died in October, (less than a month into tv production course) cab licence pulled in March. Shudda gone to specsavers.
ps that Jason Arlay, absolute assole. Copied pasted entire works, mistakes and all, called anyone who questioned his competence 'racist'. People bigging him up,... well I was on a course with em!! Pain in the fking arse.
