It was unfortunate timing the 1933 election win of friend of Germany, that saw Seimens locate there. https://diaspora.jewish-history-online.net/article/wegner-uruguay But the reality, in my opinion, is the wider general political and religious base of Judaism would never en masse sit up and say, hey let's knock the idea of retaking Palestine on the head and go make a fresh start in South America. Never going to happen, even though it might have saved a lot of Jews east of Berlin! (Poland etc)
