Heads up, episode 7 of Alien : earth 'dropping' tonite ... ie early tomorrow in europe. This series if you haven't seen it, while sometimes long-winded, particularly episode 2, 3 where they explore the downed ship is really top notch. Great aliens, a good cast, particularly the black cyborg. The boy genius who runs the rival to Weyland corp. moves past annoying twat thanks to some sparking dialogue and plot twists (and good acting/casting). Adrian Edmonson yes the one out the Young Ones is 100% serious, and good. The main protagonists brother/sister dynamic is ... unlikely??!! and leads to lots of silly stuff about breaking out from the island running off to live a life free from the corporation total as if nonsense. Valuable runtime is consumed following this pointless pursuit. But it does offer some leverage for one of the group to moan about his own family being absent (and also under threat from the cyborg). The synthetic right-hand man of the boy genius is very good, silver haired guy. Wendy, the synthetic creation of the boy genius is good too., mad fringe but you would. The ginger synth woman child is ok also but has an odd top lip. But in the final analysis you would do her as well.
But the main stars of the show insofar as you keep watching defo the black cyborg and his mission for Weyland, and the assorted aliens. Standouts include the dolly the sheep takeover scene around episode 3 or 4., and er ... the growing in the lab of the new alien Klun (or whatever his name is) takes as an embroy from a face hugger. this alien is subtly different. far more scary alien creature-like much less bloke dressed up in a suit with a long helmet.
Not many (no) blondes made it thu casting, but diversity counts so it's fine.
