Yes, four of the 19 hijackers' passports were recovered either from crash debris or left-behind luggage

during the PENTTBOM investigation. [1]

Despite popular conspiracy theories suggesting passports survived the intense fires inside the collapsing towers, the actual recovery locations tell a different story.

Where the Passports Were FoundWorld Trade Center (Flight 11): The passport of Satam al-Suqami was found on the street (near Vesey Street) by a passerby a few blocks away from the towers before they collapsed. It was handed to an NYPD detective.
