Two years ago…
I’m currently in 787 training at a major airline.
The procedure for an in flight restart varies depending on whether X-START is shown on the EICAS or not. If you see X-START, move the start selector on the overhead panel to START and then move the fuel control switch to RUN. If you don’t see X-START then simply move the fuel control switch to RUN. That’s it, it’s as simple as that.
If your fuel control switch is stuck in cutoff then I’m sorry to say that the plane is just bugged. There’s no reason it would ever be stuck like that.

ZealousidealLab4 OP • 2y ago • Edited 2y ago Can the fuel control switch move by itself from the RUN to the CUTOFF position in real life? Because that's the issue I'm having with this plane. It stays in the RUN position for a moment before reverting to the CUTOFF position. I'm suspecting that this is a bug, like you said. Just want to make sure.
