yeah, and I think a 100watt light is more the type of thing that can be on, summer of winter for '24 hours'
.. re: my oven, not sure, 2000+ watts I imagine. I've got a bagless vaccum cleaner, pre EU wattage restrictions, 2,300 watts! ELectric kettle is typically 2000 watts. Hair dryer, maybe 1200 watts? But the point about a light is that it's on for hours on end. They could have gone with 40 or 60 watt bulb, more common back in the day but not as straightforward a calculation, although the time running to equal that of one electfic car in one hour would have been literally +/-10% 100% more impressive than the 100Watt bulb.
