It is a pretty insane event. Doing those speeds on ordinary roads, with stone walls fences and buildings. It's not a bloody racetrack. Monaco circuit would be safer. I recall doing 100 mph on the M25 once, blimey. Fortunately rode a motorcycle since I was 17, no breakages.
