NHS ‘top tip’ for getting through cold snap? Put your feet up After first snow of winter, health clinic also suggests patients ‘avoid having bare feet’ to limit effects of frosty weather
An NHS health clinic has suggested that its patients “keep their feet on a stool” when sitting down to keep warm during winter months.
The Met Office has issued multiple yellow weather warnings for snow and ice until Thursday, with sub-zero temperatures expected. Forecasters predict the country will be “firmly under the colder Arctic air mass” by Wednesday, making things feel “even colder”.
Moulton Medical Centre near the town of Spalding, Lincolnshire, issued a number of “top tips” for limiting the effects of cold, damp weather – including “pulling your sleeves down” and “wearing socks”.
