we're not just bemerding everyone for the sake of it ... he means demerding (covering people with %&!*@) annoying them. he does say a nice thing about people who write books though, and how him having his name on the spine of his first book written was a dream and how he admires anyone who actually writes a book. bit like me in that respect.
