Look at the capacity per sq km used, it's tiny.
The wind is not a reliable energy source (it does now always blow), this is why we went from sailing ships for trade to steamships.
The turbines have a pretty short productive life (after which their toxic components have to be disposed of.
They have a large impact on wildlife - birds, insects, sea going mammals.
All in all, very poor low (medieval) tech.
