Your efforts make no difference sadly, when 90% of the plastic washes in from 6 rivers. I too pick up the occasional bit of jetsam, swam to see what a big blue shadow in the sea was last week and discovered it was a large plastic sack which I took out and binned (Greece is great for bins, big communal ones everywhere).
